CBWAA Code Of Ethics

Preamble

The Candy Bar Wrappers Of America, recognizing that companies engaged in direct selling assume certain responsibilities toward customers, hereby sets forth the basic ethical and fair practices to which members of the association will continue to adhere to in the conduct of their business.

Deceptive or Unlawful Practices
No member company of the CBWAA shall engage in deceptive, unlawful or unethical consumer practices. Members shall insure that no misleading statements are made to consumers concerning products that are sold.
Products & Services
All products and services for sale by member companies shall be accurate as to price, quality, value, performance, quantity and availability. A consumers order for products and services shall be fulfilled in a timely manner.
Terms of Sale
A written order shall be made at the time of sale ,which sets forth what items or services were ordered. The written order should be in a language that is clear and free of ambiguity.
Guarantees & Warranties
The terms of any warranty or guarantee offered by the seller in connection with any sale shall be given to the buyer in a manner that fully informs the buyer. If the warranty is presented to any member they shall promptly honor the warranty.
Company & Product Identity
Members shall truthfully identify themselves, their company and their products, in person, in brochures, on business cards or through any other contact with consumers.
Payment Options
Members shall inform consumers of the payment options which are available.
Use Of Graphics
Members shall only use graphics that they are legally licensed to use. Members will not use graphics which are of unknown origin to them, graphics which were "snagged" from online discussion lists and websites and any graphics which the member has not purchased a license to use.
Consumer Complaints
If the association receives any complaints about a member, said member agrees to answer the complaint in a prompt and swift manner. Members will be considered responsible for code violations by their solicitors and representatives.

If any member receives three (3) consumer complaints and does not satisfactorily respond to such complaints within 30 days of the date of the initial complaint, shall be removed from our membership
